I talked earlier about how disappointed I was with Loop-Master. I got a patchbay that wasn’t built to spec and a true bypass looper that had fallen victim to some hardcore shipping damage (due to semi-poor packaging).
However, after a few emails he rectified the situation by sending me a new (and correct) patchbay free of charge! Some dents and scratches I can totally live with, but it’s kind of hard to mount a patchbay with top-jacks underneath a Pedaltrain.
Still hating on the whole “handcrafted in ‘murica”-thing though. My two channel looper from OneControl was probably mass-produced in some Asian factory by petite women wearing surgical masks, it looks better, came neatly packaged and is built like a tank. It also has two built in DC outlets if you need to daisy-chain some pedals. And I probably don’t even have to mention that it’s cheaper too.
Still, Brian is a great guy and I think he handled it professionally. If you’re in the states and looking to go the true bypass looper route, Loop-Master will give you the best value for your money. His turnarounds are probably more bearable too when you don’t have to take overseas shipping into account, like me.
